About Mascho Homestead Farms

Mascho Homestead Farms is a small Family Farm located in Angelica, NY. We started our homestead farm with 55 acres 25 years ago, and have grown to now operating 2 farms on 280 acres. We practice Pasture Based Animal Farming specializing in Farm to Table Farm Products: Grass-Finished Angus Beef and Pasture Raised Pork. Rest assured our animals are humanely raised, under natural and sustainable methods, pasture based, and animals are not fed/administered any synthetic hormones, growth steroids, or antibiotics. Nor do we apply any pesticides or herbicides to any of our land. We take pride in knowing first hand our animals entire live cycle, as our Angus Cattle that are intended for human consumption, are born and raised on our farm. We then select calves from our herd that we will raise to butcher at around 20-28 months of age. We will buy in a Registered Black Angus Bull when we are ready to replace our herd bull(s). Our Cattle receive a forage diet free of pesticides and they are rotated to pastures during the grazing season. They are fed baleage and dry round bales in the winter months, all harvested by our farm. Our cattle are finished on the highest quality forage available in our growing region. They also have free access to a mineral lick. This practice insures the best quality grass fed beef possible that is consistent in its clean beef flavor and tenderness. The animals intended for human consumption, are never fed or administered antibiotics and never receive synthetic growth hormones. It is our motto that if animals are ever sick and require veterinary care, we will provide care essential to their well-being.
